2022 Enrolments and Class Placement
If you have not yet enrolled your Prep child for 2022, please do so via the office as soon as possible.
Please advise us as soon as possible if your child/children will not be attending Ivanhoe East Primary School next year. This information assists with staffing and planning the number of classes at each year level.
Also, if you would like to share any relevant information regarding your child’s placement for 2022, please put it in writing to Adrienne Dudley no later than Friday the 29th of October at ivanhoe.east.ps@education.vic.gov.au. Please note that while we take any information that you provide into consideration, the final decisions regarding your child’s placement rest with the teaching staff and leadership team.
Week 3 Staggered return
Next week will be the first week in the staggered return to school. Preps will be at school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with their teachers and classmates. Years 1 and 2 will be at school with their teachers and classmates on Thursday and Friday. Students who are currently attending the onsite supervision program will continue to do so except on days where their class is at school.
All students will continue with remote learning on the days they are not at school. This will continue until all students are back onsite together with their teachers and classmates on Friday 5th November. Learning packs will continue to be provided for the days where remote learning occurs.
We will use the Warncliffe Rd gates near the bike racks and the gate closest to the Prep rooms as the entry and exit points next week. At this stage, parents are not allowed onsite unless they have business at the office or have a formal appointment with a teacher who is working onsite.
Term 4 Sun Smart
It has been lovely to see some sun and have some warmer days as we head towards summer. In Term 4 students are required to wear their school hats during recess and lunch times as well as any outdoor activities during the school day. Please remind your child to bring their hats each day they are at school.
Works At School
During the past term we have had some ramps installed to aid easy access to school buildings.
A number of the garden beds have been topped up with tan bark and the plants in The Banks project are doing well.
The Junior building has had some paint work refreshed both inside and outside the building. The school is looking ready for the return of our students!
