End of Term 1 and Start of Term 2
Term 1 ends this Thursday 1st April at 2:30pm. The end of term dismissal time is always an hour earlier than the usual school day, except for Term 4 when it is two hours earlier. We will always remind you of the earlier time in advance.
The first day of Term 2 (Monday 19th April) is a Curriculum Day and as such it is a pupil-free day. This means students don’t attend school on that day but will have their first day of term on Tuesday 20th April. All staff will be at school on the Monday engaging in professional learning.
OSHClub run a full day program on Monday 19th April if you require care of your school-age children so please ensure you book in if you require this service.
The Banks project
Last weekend the Environment Club ran a working bee to move the mulch and clear debris from the embankment along Robinhood Rd which is the site for their Landcare project titled ‘The Banks’. It was an amazing effort and I thank everyone who gave up their time and expended their physical efforts to benefit our students and the school environment. The message below is from the organisers:
Just a little message to say thanks for all your hard work. Scraping up a few tonnes of mulch and barrowing into a mountain is no mean feat but with everyone’s enthusiasm and hard work we nailed it! Hopefully amongst all the sweat and dirt you managed to somewhat enjoy yourselves this weekend. Such a combined effort all around makes projects such as 'The Banks' possible and is a credit to the school community.
Cheers
IEPS Environment Club
I would like to wish all families a safe and enjoyable holiday.
