Smile Squad six month fluoride varnish visit
The Banyule Community Health Smile Squad team are heading back to our school in term 2 to complete six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for those students who have provided consent. Fluoride varnish applications help make sure students have the best chance of preventing tooth decay, so we’re excited Smile Squad are coming back.
Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when students’ initial consent forms were returned. However, if anyone has changed their mind and do not wish to receive a fluoride varnish application, then you can contact Banyule Community Health directly to let them know.
Please contact the Smile Squad team directly on 9450 2000.
Smile Squad fluoride visits are scheduled for the 3/06-7/06 as well as 11/06, 13/06, 20/06, 21/06.
(Please note: Smile Squad runs this program. If you have any enquiries you will need to contact the Smile Squad team. IEPS is providing the venue only and we are not privy to Smile Squad information.)
The Smile Squad team look forward to visiting soon.

2024 Parents Battle of the bands - Book your tickets now!
The Northside Parents Battle Of the Bands is back for its 2nd year!
https://youtu.be/COcp4dcz9cM?feature=shared
It will be held over two EPIC nights at Northcote’s iconic live music venue, the Northcote Social Club on the 31st July & 8th August, 2024.
To avoid disappointment, get in early and book your tickets as they sold out very quickly last year.
The Ivanhoe East PS Parents Band “Lost Property" is participating with 8 other local primary schools including Northcote Primary, Brunswick South Primary, Brunswick East Primary, North Melbourne Primary, Westgarth Primary, Fairfield Primary, Wales Street Primary & Preston South Primary.
The ticket sales proceeds are donated back to expand the performing arts/music education programs and help improve facilities for participating schools. It is also a great opportunity to connect with the different school communities and have a lot of fun. All monies will be redistributed pro-rata of parents’ attendance/number of tickets sold by each school.
The real winners are the schools that sell the most tickets! It is a fun night of great music and quality entertainment - legendary if you ask previous crowds!
Head over to @parents_battle_of_the_bands on Instagram and Facebook to see what the fuss is about AND click on the ticket link where you can select your school:

Donate your drink containers to raise funds for IEPS - check local deposit stations
Families can contribute to fundraising efforts for IEPS at Ivanhoe East Primary School by participating in the CDS program, which allows them to donate 10 cents per can or bottle. This initiative encourages environmentally conscious behavior while also supporting the school's educational objectives.
Families can simply collect their recyclable cans and bottles, return them through local collection points (*not at the school), and designate the funds raised to be allocated towards IEPS initiatives.
This straightforward yet impactful method of fundraising promotes community involvement and fosters a sense of collective responsibility towards supporting all students' learning needs.
Please refer to CDS Vic website or app for more information. To raise funds for IEPS, either scan the barcode below or enter Ivanhoe East Primary School in 'Search donation partners' on the website https://cdsvic.org.au/donating
