Grand Wash Auto Fundraising

Grand Wash Auto Fundraiser is here again running from 26th of March to 26th of June.

Look out for the promotional tag that will be handed out this week to each family with IEPS unique code to enter in at the pay point of the carwash.  Any one can use the code - in fact the more the merrier!  Every premium car wash

earns IEPS $5.  Tell all your friends and family the code and they can support the school too. Simply enter the code 9075 and select Premium car wash.

Coles Sports for Schools 2018

Great news! We exceeded our goal: we collected 31 697 vouchers! We collected 17 080 vouchers on the fifth and sixth weeks of the program.

We have already started to send the vouchers to a Coles contractor in charge of the final counting. Soon we will be able to see how many vouchers were actually validated.

There are still 2 weeks to go (until 3rd April), keep collecting the vouchers! Don’t forget, everyone can be a part of it (family, friends, neighbours…)!

Last day to drop the vouchers at school will be 20th April.

Dad's Lawn Bowls Night

After much anticipation and a flurry of last minute planning, last Friday night saw the running of the highlight of the IEPS Dads’ social calendar: Dads' Bowls.  This was the ninth year of this auspicious annual event.  The weather was

looking a bit inclement on Thursday, but by Friday, it was blue skies and perfect weather for the big night.

Running to schedule has never been a particular strength of the event, and it was possibly further hindered by the on-time arrival of our first pizza delivery from Larry's.  This quietened everybody down a bit, but also appeared to inhibit

any pre-game practice.  As 7pm rolled around there was a slow migration out onto the green, but still not much action.  However once the microphone was handed over to the commentative stylings of Murray "The Mouth" Mitchell  the

games finally got underway.

There were a few discrepancies with the scoring (it's unclear whether these were accidental or deliberate) but as we reached the end of round five there were four teams vying for the inaugural IEPS Dads Bowls perpetual trophy.  After

a quick semi-final play-off it came down to the mighty Team M (Fergus Dobbins, Mark Palavestra, Filip Suleski and their part-timer Jason Wood) and some other blokes in a slightly short-handed Team H (Marcus Heasly and Graham

Starkey).   Another end later, and the inaugural trophy was in the hands of Team M.

Thankfully this year's raffle prize was not won by anyone on the organising committee, but by Brad Pearce.  Second prize went to an unnamed individual, but was shared and enjoyed in the community spirit to which these events have

become synonymous.

Even a couple of former bowls organisers couldn’t stay away.  Ed Griffiths, organiser for the last eight years and the first life member of the IEPS Dads Bowls event, joined us and Stan Eliadis, who has also worked tirelessly in

previous years to help run the event dropped in.

We would like to thank everyone who attended, Paul and the team at Foodworks, who provided us with snacks and some great prizes for the event and the raffle. Special thanks is reserved for the good folk at the East Ivanhoe Bowls

club who were extremely patient with their hospitality, tuition and guidance.

If you missed us this year be sure to secure you’re ticket early for the next one.  We look forward to seeing you all again next year!

There are a few photos of the evening on and hopefully a few more to come over the next week or so.
