Welcome to Ivanhoe East Primary School. We are committed to providing a positive and rich learning environment for our students and welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with all members of the community. We look forward to welcoming children and their families who will start school in 2018.
Tours of the school will be held at 9.30am on Thursdays commencing in Term 2. These tours are run by our Year 6 students who are keen to show you around the school and answer any questions you may have. There will also be an opportunity for you to meet with the Principal, Justine Mackey.
Bookings are required for all tours so please contact the school office on 9499 2171.
Please contact our Enrolment Officer, Karen Gibbons, on the above number if you have any questions about the enrolment process.
We value the importance of a comprehensive transition program that prepares students and their families for a successful transition to school.
Our transition program provides opportunities for:
- Students to participate in learning experiences that help them become familiar with the school environment
- Building relationships and connections with members of the school community
- Families to connect with each other and capitalise on the experiences of other parents of children in the school
- Sharing valuable information about the transition program, school readiness and what to expect when your child starts school.
All families will be invited to attend a ‘Prep Welcome Picnic’ in December where they can meet their child’s class teacher and classmates.
Specific information about the Transition Program will be provided once your child’s enrolment has been confirmed.
