Learning at IEPS and Information Nights

Our teaching teams have placed a significant focus on building their learning communities in these first couple of weeks of school. This provides students with a sense of belonging so they can feel safe and secure at school, which is a

strong foundation for learning. This week is planning week, which means that students attend all of their specialist classes on one day so that the teaching teams can work together to plan purposeful and engaging learning programs

for the students. Teachers are also using the knowledge that they have gained about the students to help them plan learning tasks based on their needs. At IEPS, we use the Victorian Curriculum (VCAA) and deliver this through a

student centred framework where we identify the skills that students require and their interests and needs to plan a targeted learning program.  We look forward to sharing our student’s learning with you throughout the year.

In the meantime, we invite you to attend our Information Nights that are being held next week.
