In a special assembly on Tuesday we welcomed Federal MP Jenny Macklin, the Hon. Member for Jaga Jaga, to Ivanhoe East PS to induct our Junior School Councilors for 2015. Ms Macklin spoke of the qualities of good leadership and how pleased she was to see our young people taking the lead in important social issues at a local level. She encouraged all of our students, especially those in Prep to Year 3, to aspire to become leaders like their peers.

Junior School Council Co-Presidents Adam and Allegra spoke on behalf of the council of their pride after being elected and promised to work hard for students to ensure IEPS remains a wonderful school. They presented Ms Macklin with flowers to thank her for taking the time to visit IEPS and award the Councilors their badges.
